The Healing Behind Creativity

We all have the ability to create. The ultimate Creator, God created us in His image therefore creativity is in our blueprint. However, like any skill or ability consistent cultivation forms a big part in the success of what we can do and how well we do it. Creativity is no different. There are more positive benefits to nurturing these skills than we realize. Its in this consistency that mental wellness can be accomplished.

Creativity is a vital skill that is important in all aspects of life. Whether you are an artist, a businessperson, or a parent, creativity allows you to approach problems and challenges with a fresh perspective and find innovative solutions in addition, creativity has also been linked to improved physical and mental health, as well as to increased happiness and well-being. So, if you want to thrive in all aspects of life, it is important to cultivate your creativity and make it an integral part of your daily routine.

Writing, drawing, painting, baking, and even coloring can be powerful means to improve mental health. Creating allows us to disconnect from stress and express inner thought. In recent years, scientists have studied the positive effects creativity can have on our health and the results are promising. Creativity can also be a great way to express emotions and cope with difficult feelings, helping you to feel more balanced and centered.

I just recently discovered how much I thrive off creativity. I am truly at my optimum when I am creating new things or learning about ways to create new things. My mind is just so colorful, I’m always building, dreaming and implementing creative ideas inside my head. I can’t imagine a life without this talent. I believe my fervor for creativity was the catalyst to my mental healing journey and continues to form part of my daily therapy.

So, the next time you are feeling stressed, try engaging in a creative activity to find relaxation and reduce stress, you would be surprised just how creative you really are.
