Creating Space for Clarity Within

At the centre of our inner house is what we can think of as our “central processing system”—the place where everything we experience is received, interpreted, and responded to. It’s where your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and past experiences meet and begin to make sense of the world around you.

But when everything is happening at once—when emotions feel overwhelming, thoughts are loud, and past experiences are triggered—it can become difficult to tell what is actually true. Everything blends together, and instead of clarity, we feel confusion.

This is where the practice of separation becomes powerful.

“Blue” invites us into a different posture—one of calm, depth, and emotional clarity. It is not about disconnecting from what we feel, but about gently creating space within ourselves so we can see more clearly. Separation allows us to say: This is what I’m feeling… but it is not all of who I am.

Imagine your inner world like waves in the ocean. Each wave represents an emotion—rising, moving, and eventually passing. Some waves are gentle, others intense, but none are permanent. When we practice observing rather than holding onto each wave, something begins to shift. We are no longer pulled under by every feeling; instead, we learn to watch, name, and release.

This is where your central processing system begins to reset. becomes powerful.

Instead of reacting automatically, you begin to respond with intention. Instead of being overwhelmed, you become aware. And in that awareness, truth has space to surface.

A simple way to begin is through a creative practice:
Take a moment to paint or imagine waves. Label each one with an emotion you’re currently carrying—fear, frustration, disappointment, hope. Then, as you look at them, remind yourself: These emotions can move. They do not have to stay.

And in that gentle space—in the calm, in the blue—God meets you.

He is present not only in the stillness, but also in the movement. As emotions come and go, His truth remains steady. His presence becomes the anchor that allows you to feel deeply without being consumed.

Separation is not distance from yourself—it is clarity within yourself.

And from that place, healing begins.
